MEDICAL MISSIONS

WHAT WE DO

His Care is the medical outreach of RTS Missions, a Christian 501(c)(3) organization. We give medical professionals an opportunity to utilize their skills to help those in need and to spread the love of Christ to people on the island of Hispaniola. We reach out to people in low-income and impoverished areas who in many cases do not have access to any kind of healthcare. Some have never even been seen by a doctor or nurse. Not only will you provide medical care to those in need, but you will show the love of Christ by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. The medical clinic plays an important part in evangelism because it will bring many people who do not know the gospel or attend church. There are always many who come to know the Lord through the medical ministry.

RTS Medical Missions

THE NEED

Your team will be providing aid to the people of the Dominican Republic. We need both medical and dental professionals working out of our clinic and even helping with mobile clinics. It is our goal to provide aid in whatever manner is necessary to help with the medical and dental needs in the communities of the Dominican Republic we serve.

While the island does have health centers, many are understaffed and undersupplied. Although most of the existing healthcare services are free, many children residing in group homes and on the streets are frequently unable to obtain care, even on an emergency basis. RTS will provide quality dental and medical services to help fill the need.

You and the rest of the volunteer team will educate patients on how to stay healthy and how to care for their loved ones. Together, we will treat a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses, some resulting from malnutrition. All families and individuals with children in the communities are encouraged to attend; therefore, our medical teams can expect to see at least 100 patients a day.
