Hola, we are the Marmolejos!
Joel is from the island of the Dominican Republic, born in the town of Rancho Arriba, while Shelby was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. Our paths crossed while serving together on a mission trip and recently just got married in December 2024.
Missions became increasingly important to Joel when he began translating in 2019. As for me, Shelby, a short-term mission trip deepened my understanding of God's heart for the nations. Now, hand in hand, we are grateful for the Lord binding our hearts together as we embark of spreading His word and fulfilling the Great Commission through missions.
Joel's passions include theology, videography, and connecting with people. But nothing compares to the joy he feels when sharing the gospel with others. Evangelism and discipleship have had a profound impact on his personal journey.He enjoys fellowship, engaging with people, listening to people's questions, and getting involved by pursuing active relationships. Joel focuses on discipleship and media in his service.
I, Shelby, enjoy reading and studying the Bible, learning from others, spending time in nature, and making an eternal impact in children's lives. However, my greatest joy lies in sharing about the all-powerful, all-present, all-knowing God that perfectly fulfilled salvation through His son, Jesus. I serve by incorporating the gospel of Jesus Christ in English as a Second Language (ESL) lessons.
We are thankful to be part of what the Lord is doing here in Jimani, DR. Our hearts long for the truth of our Savior to be known in the world because He wants to be known. Salvation belongs to the Lord, and He draws us unto Himself by His kindness that leads us to repentance. He equips us with opportunities and gifts to spread His word and make disciples. Please join us in praying for the growth of His kingdom in Jimani!

There are four things you should know about giving online. It is simple and secure, and it will only take a few moments to go through the process. We are a 501(c)3 organization, and all contributions are tax-deductible.
- If you plan to give regularly or set up monthly giving, please create a giving account to monitor your giving and have control over your information. You will notice a link below titled "Create Account or Your Account." Click this link to set up your personal giving profile.
- If you set up an online giving account, you will be able to login at anytime to see your giving history and make any changes you wish.
- Our merchant account does receive 4% of your donation as a processing fee. This is an administrative fee typical of online payment services. Although RTS will receive a little less than your donation, the entire amount of your donation is deductible for tax purposes. Each person giving a donation has the opportunity to select an option to cover this fee. If you decide to cover this fee, that portion is also tax-deductible.
- Every online gift processed will receive a receipt by email. Please keep these for your tax records. RTS Missions will also issue annual statements as well. If you do not receive a statement, please contact us to ensure that we have received your donation.
